During this freezing cold spell, I played around with some fleece and vinyl to create a new collection of roller derby and personalized scarves. My muses were are a dear friend, and the CUTEST kids in the world (second only to my own). They were great sports about their photo shoot. Don’t these pix just make you smile?

After seeing the amazing knitwear in a movie I saw this week,
I was inspired to create my own version.
Ok… I must admit that the original design from the movie is INCREDIBLE
and I will never be able to recreate it, but here’s what I was inspired to create…
I’ve done a few different ones at this point, and am still playing around with color and proportion, but it is coming along.
With the recent influx of requests for these and my rugs, I’m at a 6 week waiting list right now, but will probably be moving to an 8 week soon. Hopefully after a couple of all night work sessions, I can boost production and catch up soon.
Here are some other ones I made this week too. I love the fun colors for the winter blues.

I actually made two, because the first one was a little too short, but my friend has a daughter, so I think it will still get some use. After a little tweaking of the prototype, I got to work on the second one.
Well, after a full day’s work, I finished it.
I trimmed up the ends, and this is the final product.
I have made a few scarves/ necklaces here and there, but haven’t really focused on them before. A friend asked me to make her a lariat with roses and leaves, and I’m really excited about this project. I’m currently working on a few rugs, and this scarf is going to be a nice break to try something new. I got the foundation done yesterday and started on some of the leaves this morning. More pictures to come when it’s all finished…
